Founder / Owner
Just Cook cookery school was founded in 2009 by Tim, after attending the Jean-Christophe Novelli Academy which inspired him to create a hands-on cookery school, to teach the simple pleasures of good honest home cooking that supported small local producers and was accessible to all abilities and ages. Tim's talented cooking skills entertain attendees for the "Basics for Blokes" and "Knife Skills" courses.
Manager / Chef
Maxine has an unorthodox background in television and film modelmaking, but her enjoyment of food and cooking has been dominant and satisfying passion from a very early age. After a 5 year break of being a mum and a housemove, Maxine was brought to Newport in Essex. Having always wanted to run a cookery school...it literally landed in her lap, as the cookery school is next door.
Ursula is a talented cook with a passion for teaching and a love of all things italian. With a background including; Escoffier in Paris, Leith's & Divertimenti in London, as well as being a prolific cookery book writer, Ursula runs lively courses inspired from her Italian heritage specalising in breadmaking, pasta, and gluten-free.
Celebrated television chef and Masterchef finalist 2013. Now author of several cookbooks, Saira draws on her Bengali background and travels with a style of food influenced by home-cooking packed with amazing flavour . Her classes explore different regional cuisines and techniques enabling you to create stunning and authentic Indian meals at home.
Born in the tropical island of Reunion followed by life in Paris, Corinne's eclectic culinary heritage is the inspiration behind her unique style of cooking, fusing exotic Creole flavours with classic French style. Also founder of award-winning patisserie business "Gourmandises" based in Cambridge.
A regular at Just Cook, Charles hosts our ever popular wine matching supper nights. Charles seeks out new and exciting wines that are rarely available elsewhere as he runs the multi award winning Joseph Barnes Wines in Saffron Walden, dealing in intresting and unusual handcrafted wines from small, independent producers from all around the world.
Fion is renowned for her innovative and exciting use of pâtisserie. After winning Cambridge Bake-Off she founded Fiona Patissiere and her amazing creations are now found in many exclusive shops and deli's around Cambridgeshire. Her unique mission is fusing scientific precision with artistic vision and creative flair.
Sue Khosravi Farrar
Sue is our resident artist whose stunning artwork adorns the walls of Just Cook. With a degree in Fine Art, her beautiful food-inspired compositions combine her unique photographic skills with her art background."
